Looking for help...

LO age 3.5yo just been diagnosed with croup... got some 'yellow' liquid (presume a steroid from what I've read up so far on it).

Mixed info as to whether its contagious or not... should I let her go to playgroup tomorrow or not... they've got all sorts going around at the moment (e.g. slapped face syndrome & a case of hand, foot and mouth).

WWYD? Smile

When DS had it we were told it isn't highly contagious and in hospital he was in the bays not in a single cubicle so in that sense I don't think going to play group would be an issue.

But with croup it normally leads to a poor nights sleep, and with DS the steroids make him go hyper and as a result crash and burn sleepwise so I would be tempted to stay home if its a possiblity!

Hope she is ok.

Croup is contagious in the sense that it is a cold virus.
