red streak in nappy

dt2 is 12 weeks (6 weeks corrected) and I just changed a nappy and found a splodge of normal greenish poo and a red mucusy smear. He is mix fed but a keen breast eater. All I can find by googling is constipation but he is a egular pooer doing normal not too smelly poos. Yesterday the paediatrician suggested stopping his ratinidine (for suspected reflux) but that's the only thing different in his diet today..

Anyone have any ideas?

Have your nipples been bleeding?

tiggersreturn · 09/11/2011 19:34

no chance on the eating things - he's only 12 weeks and ds's toys have been kept away from them. I'm going to check my nipples when dt2 stops sleeping on me

one slightly cracked nipple courtesy of dt1 who is refusing to bf, hopefully that's the cause
