Could these two things be linked? Undescended testicles and not getting taller

DS (13m) has dropped down the height centiles. He started on 50th, was there at 6weeks and was a bit below at 3m, but since then he's gradually gotten lower and lower and is now below the 2nd. He still fits in some of his 3-6m clothes and most of his 6-9m stuff.

I'm 58, DH is 61. His brothers are 6and 62, mine is 63, and his sister is 58. All DS's cousins are really tall, so I find it odd that DS is so small.

We have an appointment with a paediatric surgeon in a couple of weeks about his undescended testicles, and I've read that it can be due to a lack of a certain hormone. Could that have affected his height?

Is it worth mentioning or am I going to sound like an idiot? prefer to sound like an idiot on here first

Thanks :)

I have no medical knowledge whatsoever but that sounds a sensible question to me. I'd ask.

Thanks, I think I'll ask then.
