Can Constipation cause UTI symptoms??

Poor dd2 has not been for a poo sinse monday, she seems to be weeing a lot more (asking to go more), her TA has mentioned it twice this week that she keeps asking to go. I took her into school this morning was talking to her TA for 5 minutes and she had wet herself (unlike her). I have taken a sample to the doctors (just incase as i don't want to spend the weekend sat in A&E or out of hours) but her wee looks clear and normal. Could the constipation be causing it??

Yes. A full bowel can make it difficult to empty the bladder properly, so they might wee small amounts more often. UTI is possible of course, but I expect when the poo moves her bladder will likely be back to normal.

Thank you, i will go and buy her something to make her go (fruit juice ect..), fingers crossed once she has been she will be fine .
