Dd (10months) is ill. She has a throat and war infection and has antibiotics - today is day three of them and she's improving and no loner has a temperature. But she also seems to be teething with at least two and maybe more just about to break through.

So as well as her antibiotics she has had calpol about three times each 24 hours since mon night and also ibuprofen twice a day. It's def helping her as 15 mins after having it she relaxes and stops being upset.

But how long can we do this for?

I would give your GP a call in the morning. Even if you don't need an appointment there is often a doctor that can phone you back and put your mind at rest.

I did this when DS was a similar age and we had been using Calpol for about 3 days (and the bottle said to seek medical advice). The GP reassured me that it would be fine but I needed to hear it from a professional iyswim.

Throat and ear. Not throat and war!
