2 year old with red, swollen penis.

He keeps pointing to his penis and saying 'ooooh' and I noticed last night it looked a bit swollen and red. I've rung our doctors but they haven't got any appointments left for today. He's got his nappy off now and it doesn't seem to be bothering him but he hasn't done a wee yet so not sure if its that that is hurting him. It hurts him when I touch it though. Any ideas?

Sounds like Balanitis ( not sure of spelling !)
It's quite common and treatable, my two both had it. But it is sore and I would push for appt today and get cream

I'd push for an emergency appointment. DS1 had an infection a few months ago and was in pain.

Thank you. I just rang back and they magically found an appointment for 10.45 but then as she went to book it someone got in and booked it before her . So I asked for advise and she's going to put a note in to a doctor and either get an urgent appointment or ring with some advise :)
