Toddler not eating and vomiting

Hey all...
So Wednesday night after supper, DS1 (21 months) throws up all over the show. Cleaned him up, got him settled in bed, only for him to do it again 20 minutes later. He then slept the rest of the night.

Thursday he seemed a little better although pale and not much appetite. No more vomiting.
Friday he was reasonably okay. Still not much appetite. No vomiting.
Saturday he ate virtually nothing all day. Last night he was awake, screaming the house down from 2am. He's hardly eaten all day again. This evening he has vomited twice.

In between he seems happy enough to play, doesn't seem to have tummy ache, and has no temp. But he's hardly eaten in 4 days and the two bouts of vomiting has me a bit worried. He's not usually one for being sick. He's sleeping now after having the mother of all tantrums :/

Any thoughts? I'm guessing I should take him to the docs tomorrow. Does it sound like a virus or something? Seems odd that he was sick then not for 3 days, then sick again...

Its very common in younger children to have a few days without vomiting and then it returns (can remember it happening with dd1 when she had her first tummy bug, we sent her back to nursery as she had gone 2 days without being sick and then it returned and both ends), as long as he's not dehydrated i wouldn't worry, buy some dyrolite from the chemist and keep up the fluids.

Thanks folks! :)

He's eaten less than a sparrow today and seems blummin miserable. I've given him plenty of drinks, and spoke to the doc who said same as you, Puddlejumper - probably a virus, wait it out.

Hope it doesn't last much longer, I've never cleaned the carpet so many times in one week! lol
