I have returned as back in April I had some excellent advice re my DS bowels and also lot's of hand holding.
So DS has been on the Laxico for 6 months and we have cut it down until he no longer needed it (so it seemed). He has continued going daily for 10 days after stopping but he is 'leaking' again when he needs to go. I have just made him a laxico up.
So during this time on the odd occasion DS has had a sore penis (at the head). I have used sudocrem and ensured he's cleaning correctly.
This week he has wet the bed twice (unsual) and it has stunk - a really strong smell. He spent the whole day yesterday complaining his penis hurt and as we were oout with friends and he was having a great time I knew it really was bothering him iyswim? So I rang OOH and asked advice and they said he needed to be seen as any UTI in a child must be dealt with immediatly.
Upshot is he's been diagnosed with Balanitis and has AB for 5 days. (co-amoxiclav).
Any body have experience of this? Could the 2 be related?
BTW DS is 7yo and has a great diet. I am encouraging lot's of fluids atm (he's a good drinker anyway).
