Eyelashes getting stuck!

Please, has someone ever heard of this? My DS keeps having issues where his top eyelashes keep getting stuck under his bottom eyelid. It obviously hurts him a lot and is fairly easy for me to get out but surely its not normal?!

My ds had this too. He's got long beautiful eyelashes and he'd rub his eye and it would happen. I'd guess it happened about every 2-3 months from about 6 months until he was about 2-3 years. I think it's only happened once in the last year (he's 4yo now).

Basically if I could get him to open his eye then it was immediately fine, but he naturally screwed them up, and it did get harder as he got stronger and bigger. I had once or twice where I wondered whether I'd end up having to get medical help but always managed to sort it in the end.

Never heard of anyone else having that issue, and the GP hadn't either.

Must be the curse of gorgeous eyelashes! He's nearly 3 now so hopefully it'll pass!
