Colds linked to teething?

9mo dd is cutting her first teeth and has her first streaming cold, making feeding, sleeping etc difficult for her. Will this kind of thing happen each time she teethes?

it may do, but then again she may genuinely have a cold, so currently is worse than it will be in future -

also it could depend on which teeth are coming through - I know from my own sinus problems & chats with specialists, top teeth share nerves with sinuses, so it stands to reason teething with those can irritate sinus nerves & cause cold like symptoms

there are nasal drops you can get from the chemist, saline drops, these help loosen things up a bit & help clear sinuses - then of course theres the old - gentle suck it all out Envy - can do anything for DD, but could never manage that one - DH did though & it did help her

good luck :)

Great, thanks. It's her top left incisor and the top left lateral incisor too so it makes sense that she has a cold if it's linked to the sinuses. Her first teeth are coming through and it's two lopsided top ones!! Not a textbook baby!

i think we're getting over the worst of it now as the snot has turned yellow :)
