My dd has mild pulmonary stenosis. She is under periodic review with a cardiologist, has always been asymptomatic except for the murmur.
For the last few days she has been complaining a little bit about her chest feeling sore. I think this is because she's a bit congested and tight chested. My other dd has a cough and dh has been ill too. She is otherwise well. Tonight mil has asked when her next review is and said that dd's pulse is slightly irregular. (Mil is a nurse) I honestly don't know if her pulse has always been like that - I know the stenosis shows up on an ecg. I am frankly freaked out now. She has plenty of energy - walks and cycles a lot. She swims, she's eating well etc. We are away from home, I can't get to the GP till next week. I found her diagnosis very hard, really scared me. I had just about put away that fear and now thanks to mil it's right back. Can somebody hold my hand?

Sorry that you're worried cardiacmum Sad

Do you have a cardiac liasion nurse you could call for advice?

My dd has pulmonary stenosis as part of her CHD, when it was worsening the first thing I noticed was that she was a bit puffy in her face in the mornings and a little more breathless than usual. Generally speaking it's not something that suddenly declines it is more a gradual process.

dd's rhythm is a bit off generally but it's not related to her PS.
