I had this problem for years with dd2. She couldn't cope with te texture either though. I got suppositories eventually and she had those instead.

Other brands or paracetamol/ibprofen have slightly different flavours which might go down better?

Soluable in her favourite squash, made slightly stronger than usual.

Wow Harriet, that must have been a bit hard going. DD is only 6 months and has had calpol/nurofen about a dozen times. She was quite poorly at 3 weeks an tolerated but now it's 50/50 as to whether she'll keep it down. If she doesn't, it's up and out alongside the contents of her stomach in less than 10 seconds of me giving it her ...

Poor thing. It's not great stuff to keep down is it :(

I got the suppositories from my GP today Harriet. Had to order them in for me at the chemist but should be ready for collection after 10am tomorrow. Thanks so much for the advice - my GP was as equally helpful Grin

(are they as easy to administer as the do suggests?)

Yes.
More importantly they don't end up being thrown back up!

She's a different baby tonight - and in a marvellous way Grin
