DD had an ear infection earlier this year and was pescribed amoxicillin and it was some orangey, sugary, very runny liquid we had to keep in the fridge and she took it from a spoon with no trouble.
Just back from the the Drs this morning where he diagnosed an ear infection and prescribed amoxicillin again. We got the prescription dispensed and this time it's a lumious yellow, viscous, fake banana stinking gloop. Unsurprisingly DD won't touch it so we've just had to use force and screaming a syringe.
Do different chemists stock different flavours/versions of amoxicillin?
I only ask as I went to a different chemist this morning and thinking of the horror of the week ahead administering this revolting stuff 3 times a day, in future am I better off asking up front what flavour their medicine is or will I sound deranged?
