Any suggestions for a cream or moisturiser that has worked for you/your children when they've got sore faces from wind burn? My daughter came out of school today and looked very sore. Not sure what to put on it.

vaseline was the only thing that worked for ds2

bio oil

You could try Epaderm, not sure if its over the counter but its suitable from birth and very rich - its more of an ointment. I reckon its the thing that stopped me getting stretchmarks! Also, Weleda Calendula oil is very soothing.

second vaseline, good all round protector.

Vaseline - my son gets this every year. Last thing at night (I used to sneak in and put it on when he was asleep as he hated it) and first thing in the morning. You could even get her one of those tiny tins to take to school so she can reapply.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee cream, smells lush and works a treat on my daughters face!

we have a weleda calendula weather cream- it's really good as a protector, and after wind burn. It was from waitrose/ocado.

crumpet · 22/10/2011 20:01

We used to use Vaseline or nivea

I used e45 at various points in the day and put baseline on her cheeks before going outside.

storminateacup10 · 10/11/2011 10:27

as Captainnany says - WELEDA calendula weather cream - very greasy but smells great and does the job - stays on all day too.

As CaptainNancy and storminateacup says Weleda Weather Protection cream is the best!

*their whole range is fab IMO!
