Reflux and illness in 21 week old

Need some advice....
My 21 week old ds has had 'a bit of a history' with his tummy and when we finally started on ranitidine a few weeks ago he improved no end. Every now and again though we would see a return to the hiccups, vomit especially on first feed etc. Over the last 3 weeks he has also had 2 cold viruses which seem to really throw him....
He obviously feels rough so I give him calpol but this seems to affect his tummy as he has really loud wind and terrible runny and smelly nappies ( although this hasn't just been since the cold).
Im wondering if the calpol stops the ranitidine working or if he is sensitive to it?? Help!!!!

Calpol can be quite rough on sensitive tummies. Plus reflux is generally much worse with any bug, even a cold. Maybe try avoiding calpol and check you're on the right dose of ranitidine for his weight? It needs to be regularly increased and can also become less effective with time. Good luck!
