Advice please - 7mo DS crying all day

Poor little DS is congested with a cold, has a weepy eye, oral thrush, hardly slept last night so is v tired and has had three lovely explosive green nappies today. In between fitful short sleeps on us today he has hardly stopped crying. He's not super hot, but a bit feverish.

We have been giving the usual Calpol every 4 hours, teething gel, Vicks rub, nasal spray and Daktarin oral gel for the thrush, he hasn't eaten but has breastfed a few times (managed to get a bit in his eye to help the weepiness!). We are walking him round and cuddling him lots, but even this doesn't stop the crying - is there anything else we can do for the poor little thing, or anything that we have missed?

Ear infection? Can go with a cold or if teeth coming through and no other sign apart from crying and fever (but this can vary from light to raging depending on how bad it is)

If the green nappies continue I would take him to the doctors, or at least ring NHS direct for advice. I say this as when my DS was small I had a raised eyebrow from a consultant on the childrens ward for not acting upon such type of nappies sooner, even though my DS was eating and sleeping fine.
(We went to the A&E as a non blanching rash followed this - he was fine it was a virus)

Thanks ever so much - good point, he might have an ear infection on top of all the other ailments. Will keep up with the Calpol etc.

I called NHS Direct earlier who said it would be 4 hours before anyone rang back! But will definitely take him to the doctors/walk in centre tomorrow if there is no improvement and in case of more green nappies. Fingers crossed he sleeps a bit tonight!
