warm compress and blepharitis

I know the treatment for blepharitis is strict daily lid hygiene but is warm compress necessary? Thanks for your advice.

I suffer from this and it can be quite painful. I've never felt the need for a compress to be honest. If your child is finding it painful i'd give calpol. Keep cleaning the gunk away and if it doesn't clear in a couple of days you can buy chloramphenicol over the counter.

DD had really bad bouts of blepharitis. I just use warm water (boiled) and baby shampoo which works wonders. She won't tolerate a warm compress longer than 10 seconds anyway.

I found the hot compresses with very dilute babyshampoo soln were what cleared it up the fastest.
