We used a bedwetting alarm very successfully with two of our DCs when they were 6 and 5. DS stopped wetting forever, DD still did occasionally - maybe once every three or four weeks.
She is now 11, and a few months ago she started wetting more frequently ? two or three times a week. So, a month ago we invested £100 in a wireless bedwetting alarm. From the very first night it has worked like this: the alarm goes off, she wakes up, goes to the toilet, sorts herself out ? no wet bed or pyjamas, just a few drops on the pants. No input needed from anyone else ? she does it all herself.
The problem is this has now happened 15 times and there is no further progress. The number of nights when the alarm goes off has actually increased since she started using it. The next stage should be that she either starts to anticipate the alarm and wakes up before it goes off, or she has more completely dry nights. But neither of these has happened.
Has anyone else got stuck at this stage, and how did you move on from it?
