Baby vomiting when passing stools

My 9 month old daughter is straining and vomiting when she passes bowel movements. I know whenever she poos as I find her in a pool of vomit :-( his has been going on for a week. I have made a doctor's appointment, but wondered if anyone else might know what is causing this please?

my son brings up his milk when he strains. maybe her tummy is too full at the time she needs to go. my son had reflux problems from birth so i thought his was mainly due to that. could be a possibility. but best to talk to your GP to be safe.
