I'm pretty sure DS (17m) has got this?

His cousin whom he is with 2/3times a week has had it confirmed and now DS is showing all the same symptoms, diarrhoea and blisters/sores on feet etc

NHSdirect says that docs don't prescribe anything so what do I do?!

He's also had 4bouts of tonsillitis in his short life so far, do you think that this could kick that off again?

Tia x

My DS had it twice.... once bad and the other not so at a similar age. It goes in about a week and all I can recommend is Calpol, and lots of hugs.

Unfortunately I have now had it about 3 times.... so watch out for any symptoms yourself.

Sorry not much help, but someone else might come along with better help.

The most painful part for kids seems to be the blisters in the mouth, and our doctor recommended flavoured ice cubes or lollies to relieve that discomfort. Obviously, compulsory ice-cream etc is a treatment most kids seem to like!
