Teething Diarrhea or not?!

My 13 month old has been doing 3 very soft (but not watery) poos a day since Thursday evening. For about 5 weeks there has been a diarrhoea bug going round nursery so they are super hot on it and I really don't want to take him in if he has it. However, is 3 mushy poos a day really diarrhoea?! He gets awful poos when teething and has spent the whole weekend chewing his hand and was awake at 5am today in pain. He is otherwise totally fine, eating lots, no other signs of illness (other than snotty nose which he always has when teething). I don't want to make other kids ill but at the same time, it is not easy for me to take time off work and don't want to do so unnecessarily.

Sound more like teething to me. Personally I would take him/her to nursery. They will soon call you to collect if they think it is d.
