Is it colic?

Hi all,
DS is currently 10 days old and I'm not sure if he has colic...basically, just before he poo's or passes wind he writhes around really uncomfortably seemingly straining to get something out. He's not constipated as all his nappies are chicken korma consistency. Once he's poo'd he completely relaxes until it starts again.

It's really distressing to watch and it wakes him up at night so I just wondered whether it sounds like colic and what I can do? I'm not keen on giving medicine unless I have to so if there are things I could try first please let me know!!!
Thanks xxx

no it sounds like normal baby behaviour to me!
colic normally refers to really prolonged bouts of crying which are not caused by anything, or at least nothing obvious.
