our son is just over 3y old and has had a rash of tiny red spots around his mouth, which we thought was just a some eczema.

then he went back to nursery nand picked up a soar throat. he had a high temperature for a while and seemed better after a couple of days. now the rash has developed into some nasty looking spots around his mouth and on his hands, he also seems a little hot. prehaps people could look at the photos in my profile and comment?

Can't see your profile.
Could it be hand, foot and mouth? Could you goggle photos and compare?

Might be hand foot and mouth. You need to make your profile public for us to see the pictures.

I am trying to remember if my daughter had hand, foot and mouth disease once as well as impetigo, or if it was when they were working out what it was that was wrong with her. I do remember with impetigo, there were kind of like scabs on her knee that just never dried up, like soggy scabs. Second time she had it was round her mouth a bit

do you have a walk in clinic near you that could check him out?

Sonya007 · 18/09/2011 12:44

yeah right. this is Lincolnshire, we dont have Doctors on call anymore. if you phone they tell you to goto Hospital to see an out of hours Doctor.
