Just come home to an answer machine message saying to ring the surgery regarding Dc's urine test. Have rung and the nurse has gone home and all they can tell me is it needs to be retested. Is that bad news? [worried]

It means someone in the lab dropped the sample.

GloriaVanderbilt · 07/09/2011 16:54

yy just means the sample was contaminated or something, they ALWAYS do this when there's no one to answer your questions and it's always No Big Deal.

thank you. It just feels like one thing after another at the moment.

The tests was inconclusive so we have to send in another.

Possibly not enough urine or it could have been cross contaminated. Really this happens all the time in hospital. Try not to worry at this stage.

She is still complaining and it is going to be a long weekend as we wait for the resuts. Thanks.
