10 month old runny tummy (for second time) - advice please

My 10 month old has a very runny tummy and was in a lot of pain this morning (calpol eventually did the trick and he went back to sleep at 6am). This is the second time he has had a very runny tummy - first time was at 6months. I am worried as I am back at work and nanny does all his cooking (I went back to work when he was 5 1/2 months old). Am I just being a worried mum, do kids just get diarrhea every now and again or should I be worried. Nanny is excellent so dont want to jump in and blame her cooking but I am worried and upset. It is times like this that I hate working and just want to be with my boy. He is my first so I am not sure if this is normal or not - or just teething. But his tummy is sore so I think not teething? (he was arching is back earlier). He is otherwise really well and not an ill baby at all (no colds etc.). Advice really appreciated.

I have just been to doctor with the same thing this morning (DS 7 months). Doctor said it was fine, probably a virus and to continue as normal particularly if there is no vomiting. She also said it could be down to teething (cut his first two teeth last week) but this started post their arrival. All in all she was very unconcerned and said it would probably last c. 7 days in all...hope your little one is better soon x

My DS has had 5 nappy explosions this morning already. Very watery. He's eating fine and doesn't seem too ill other than being tired
Assuming it's a virus and making sure he drinks lots of water.

May also take it easy with his formula for then next couple of days as I've read milk can be harder to digest.
