Swollen gland in neck

Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of swollen gland in neck. My dd has had a lump in her neck for years & I have asked gp several times over the years & have always been told it is a gland. Do some children have these & they don't go down? It's always a niggling worry at back if my mind that it's something more but as I say it has been there a long time. She is 7.

My DS has had one for years..about the size of a big pea...he was referred to ENT who ran blood tests but weren't concerned as blood results were normal and he was well in himself..i think ppl who have swollen glands of a sinister nature are usually very unwell!

Hope that helps!
