Dd2 just hurt her leg on the trampoline, she cried for a while, led down, i then put some cold peas on it and she is now limping around with her foot turned in a little (not putting it all on the floor), she keeps lying down and is a bit pale, have given her calpol to take away any pain. Should i be taking her to A&E or should i leave it a while and see how she is in a few hours? if it was broken wouldn't she be screaming in pain??

Marne just to say when I was just over 1 I broke my leg, and it is an infamous story in our family, as I cried intially but then just didn't want to put any weight on it.
My mum left it until the next day and the doctor couldn't believe when he seen the fracture that I wasn't screaming in agony even when he stood me up I just winced.

My ds also fractured his collarbone when he was wee and only if you lefted him in a certain way he cried, I took him to A&E against everyone elses opinion
so if she still dosen't seem right I would bring her back and ask for the Xray anyway

Thanks Plumbum, i wil keep an eye on her, she still says her knee hurts but doesn't seem to be in much pain. When i was 10 my mum made me walk home with a broken ankle (1 mile walk), she still feels guilty for not taking any notice of my moans Grin.

No, DD2 managed to sleep all night on one dose of paracetamol having broken both bones in her arm clean through.
She knew it was broken, she did the other one the year before ( didn't cry then, just said yes I think we need to go to the hospital, she was 6).
We were going on holiday the next day and she didn't want it to be broken, she was trampolining tooSad

nope, Ds managed to chip his ankle bone last year on a trampoline, was in pain but not screaming or crying.

DD said the only time either of her arms really hurt was when a horrible Xray technician shoved her freshly broken arm into position for a picture, rather than letting me help her. She had been holding it without a tear for the last two hours, in the car and waiting room- Bastard her words tooGrin
