Shall I get his hearing checked?

my DS is so loud, he cannot talk quietly and really shouts when it should be normal conversation.
I haven't noticed anything wrong with his hearing, but is it worth getting it checked anyway?

Essentially it said you've got nothing to lose. DD ended up having grommets put in following a referral to an ENT person.
She has started to not be able to use her inside voice again and is missing things I've said. I am planning to take her to our GP to be checked out again.
