Pain in cheeks and tongue?

For the last two nights, 4yo dd1 has been crying and complaining of sore cheeks and tongue. I can't see anything when she lets me look in her mouth - any ideas?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Have you tried shining a torch in there? Or could it be a sore throat and she's not verbalising it well?

ALso, have you been ensuring her teeth are well brushed? Soetimes plaque can build up and make mouths hurt.

As far as I know, I have been brushing her teeth well, but I'll step it up. She still has a dummy at night - could that be linked?

A quick google suggests that dummy's can irritate the mouth....so it could be...

Thrush is another thought..but you can't see anything in there? I would take her to the doctors tbh....you could catch it if it is thrush...before it gets worse....has she been on antiiotics lately? That can cause thrush...

We're away from home atm - is it the kind of thing to go to a local dr or could it wait till monday? (sorry, tired and can't think straight. Dd snuggling up and going to try sleep again soon.

I woould say that if it carries on for longer than 4 days then it should be seen by a doctor....keep checking her mouth incase it is thrush. hope she's ok now
