...doing the rounds?

DS and 4/5 other we know are similarly afflicted right now.

No other symptoms, just a spiky high temp...

And he's had Calpol and Neurofen and his temp still seems high Confused

Dd has has exactly this but then the spots came once the temp receded and it turned out to be roseola of some kind. Buy her only real symptoms were a high temp and lethargy.

Thanks Honey. Will look out for spots

We had this a few weeks ago. No spots. Just really high temp and a headache. It passed very quickly but went round a lot of kids in our area.

High temp and headache...my ds2 was sent home from school on Monday with this, he felt like a radiator...fine today though Hmm

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 19/07/2011 23:35

Basically viral spots as dd is 18 months but a lot have been off Ds school with same symptoms too Confused

Valpollicella · 19/07/2011 23:39

Thanks Carrots and Mad

Seems similar to DS. He was saying he was 'dizzy' and holding his head earlier'

Off to bed in a sec and shall take him in with me .

Thanks for your answers

Yes, exactly as described above, very high temperature (nothing would really bring it below 38 C) and headache, lasted a couple of days.

HoneyPablo · 20/07/2011 09:58

This is really common. It's the bodies way of fighting off nasty infections.

DD had this last week. After the temp broke (3 days) she complained of a sore thorat - it was tonsillitis
