Possible reflux in older baby?

Does this sound like reflux? DS has always been a sicky baby, he is nearly 8 months. He is definitely less sick that when he was tiny but he is still sick normally at least once a day and quite a significant amount. I still have to keep him upright after feeds. He has a very strong gag reflex that hasn't got any better in 8 weeks or so of solid food.

I have been to the doctor three times about this and they just tell me he is healthy as he is gaining weight well. Which is true but he is much more sick than any of my friend's babies and always has been. I had hoped he would grow out of it and am concerned it is persisting.

So, do you think is it reflux and if so is it worth trying the doctor again? I feel like they think he is PFB (which he is!) but I also worry that it must be uncomfortable for him.

Sounds likely. What milk is he on? BM or formula? Can you give him smaller more frequent feeds?

Also reflux can be linked to intolerance to cows milk protein (not the same as lactose intolerant) so dairy can make things worse. Do you give any dairy?

He is breastfed so it is hard to judge when to stop and he does seem to have a tendency to just keep going and I think he overfills himself sometimes.

He has loads of dairy! I've never even considered an intolerance. Silly me. I just keep getting fobbed off by the doctor with a smile and being told that as his weight is fine he's healthy, they never even look at him.

Try cutting out dairy for a week and see what happens. He'll be getting plenty of calcium etc from you so a week won't matter. Then you can decide what to do next!
