DD had a 'funny' turn, would you be concerned?

DD 6 was fine all day. This afternoon we went for quite a long walk but she had a bag of popcorn while we walked round and a bottle of water. When we got back in the car she went very quiet and white and just kept saying she was tired and wanted to go to sleep. She was like this for around 30 mins then she had tea and perked up a bit but still quiet. She said she had felt shaky. Wwyd?

Keep an eye on her. She may be coming down with something, or maybe just too long in the sun, or tired.
I'd worry if she slept and was difficult to rouse, or temperature was rising quickly or not responding to calpol.

She has not got a temp atm. I was wondering if it could have been a dip in sugar levels or something along those lines. Will keep an eye on her

I think its sugar levels coupled with heat and tiredness.

I myself sometimes doze in the afternoon if its v hot and im under the weather and wake feeling shakey.

My DS went through a period of doing this (8/9 times over a month) just after he turned 6yo.

I turned to MN and also got suggested low blood sugar. I carried the mini packets of chedders on me as carbs are meant to be good for LBS.

At the same time as this he seemed to suddenly grow but a proper spurt not just a cm or so! - so I wondered whether this could have been related?

It may be that your DD is about to shoot up.

I thought that when she perked up after her tea. She has been weeing more of late, but cant say she has been drinking more so if she has another funny turn will take her to the gp

That sounds like an idea - its better to err on the side of caution. Try and take a urine sample. They can test for any infection, glucose present etc with a dip stick.
