DS started getting his spots last Sunday (over a week ago). They are really fading now, just little scabs on some. The others haven't got it yet though (nearly 3 and 11m) - have they missed it? I have been keeping DS2 away from pre-school as I understand just before the spots appear is the most contagious, when can I persume he won't get it? Thanks:)

the incubation period can be up to 21 days. My ds got it about 14 days after dd. I wouldnt keep ds2 away from preschool until he shows symptoms.

Mine came down within 2 weeks of the rash appearing on DS2. They all sleep in the same room and I believe from what I've seen on the internet, that 15 minutes in a room with an infected person is all that is required.
