My 2 year old has a cold, runny nose, cough, sneezing and looking a little off colour. Nothing to serious, but clearly suffering a bit and kept us awake most of last night, only sleeping after a dose of calpol at 5am. I feel that calpol is a bit OTT. The laws on cough/cold medicine seem to have changed in the past year and would like something to help with the symptoms. I could give him hot honey and lemon drink and olbas oil, any other ideas?

Get some Simmus Oil and pop a few drops on his pillow at night. It's wonderful stuff.
