Chicken pox - but only 15 spots

My dd - aged 3.5 has chicken pox - it's been going around her nursery. It started on Friday - she only had 3 spots - and now, at the end of Monday, she still only has about 15. I'm worried that because it's mild, she may get it again.

Has anyone come across this?

My sister had very few spots even less than your dd and had immunity to chicken pox afterwards.

My DD only had 13. No other symptoms apart from that. I have been told they may get them again if it's mild but it might just be a myth.
Anyway she hasn't caught it again since (2 years ago).

I know some one who has had it 3 times, another mum whos the dd had it first then her ds and then almost immediately her dd again.

my dd has chicken pox and has about 10 spots,this is her 2nd time,she had it quite severe when she was a baby.

my dd had chicken pox when she was only a toddler, well we think she had it as she only had two spots that blistered. I thought I would recognise it for sure as my son had had it, but even the doctor wasn't sure!!

She hasn't caught it since mind you and it keeps going around, so maybe she is immune.

I guess either the immune system kicks in or it doesn't in a few cases, regardless of the severity, and you will never know for sure without a blood test.

15 spots isn't too bad, it sounds like you had a 'proper' case of chicken pox without too much suffering! Don't complain about that, my ds was smothered and it was a nightmare especially as he was still in nappies...
