Oh S*** 13mo has swallowed 2 Pandora charms help?

Bracelet was on the sideboard at the back no way he could have gotten to it but think one of his sisters has moved it, spots it in his mouth and I stoutly forgot to clip it together, one charm and spacer is missing presumed swallowed. They aren't glass just silver ones with a birthstone attached (his ironically)!

Feel like a total f idiot and worried about it sticking somewhere in him.

Should I phone NHS24 for advice? Take him to A&E or wait 48 hours and examine nappies?????

Phone NHS direct for advice, but TBH I'd just be on nappy watch.

oh dear, its going to be rooting round in nappies over the next day or so.

Personally i wouldnt take to A&E....unless you want a long wait and to be told...to root round in napies over next day or so.

DS age nearly 3 swallowed a penny on Friday, DH took him to A&E on NHS directs advice, they sent him home saying that it would take 48 to 72 hours to pass through, if he showed any signs of tummy ache, pain at all tp phone 999. HTH, we are still waiting although last nights peas have made an appearance.

A&e can't help you need an out of hours jeweller .

Ring NHS direct but really think they'll say let nature take it's course!

Dr's on Friday said that if they don't need to xray then they don't, if the child has managed to get it passed the throat then they are in no immediate danger and let nature it's course.

That's interesting, what if it were a penny or marble, I wonder.

My dd swallowed a 5p, we were told the same - to let digestion deal with it. She took it in for show and tell (was 5).

Charms are tiny no sharp edges and less than the diameter of a 5p and a hole in the middle. I have 3 similar! He's eating fine and being his normal self.

As there are no sharp edges you will have to do a few days poo searching until they reappear! If they dont you need to go to a&e. Any tummy pain until they come out needs to go to a&e. Happy hunting!

Have decided to do poo rummaging for the next 2-3 days if they don't come out will take him to A&E. Hope I do get them back would be a funny story to tell him when he's older "see this charm it went through you"

Just lifted rug in lounge to wash floor (only time I can get to do it) and heard a clatter, the spacer so shook rug and there was the charm!!!

Phew I think there has been a sister involved somewhere as where the charms were found was nowhere near where DS had the bracelet. So happy I don't have to go poo sifting but it has certainly taught me to be more careful.
