i know thi will have been asked a million times but can you tell me if this is chicken pox

dd1 had a temp last night and i gave her calpol. she woke this morning with little red blister like spots on her back. she is a it grouchy but otherwise fine. i am assuming this is chicken pox. if it is do i just treat with kalamine lotion and calpol. do i need a doctors visit

Seems like a reasonable assumption to me.

Unless she seems very unwell, then keeping her in and using calamine (or bicarb in the bath) to reduce itching seems like a good plan. I hope she perks up soon.

me too. dd2 has got it now. at least i am getting it over with in one go
