Baby permanently blue round mouth

Our little boy is now almost 8 weeks old and since about week two has
been blue around the mouth (not lips or tounge). When we first noticed
it we went to get him checked out by Padiatrician and they checked for
all the heart problems and everything seemed fine. They were not
concerned as he is feeding well and putting on weight and in all other
ways seems a perfectly healthy boy.

Read quite a bit on this and a lot written how it can be wind but most
of what I read has the mouth going blue for short periods and then returning
to normal, with our boy the area around his mouth is always blue whatever
the time of day and whatever he is up to (sleeping, screaming, feeding...).
He does seem a windy boy and his poop can appear in an explosive manner but as I say the blue never goes away.

Has anyone else had something similar ? We have been hoping it would just
go with time but been 6 weeks now and no change, anyone elses experienece
greatly appreciated. Everytime we mention it to a doctor they just ask if he
is feeding and gaining weight (which he is).

Many thanks,

Lawrence

My DS was like this although i thought i was imagining it (had PND), he was diagnosed with asthma 8 mths, have no idea whether it was linked but just sharing my experience. Was worse after he fed i seem to remember.
