Toe end has been cut - now toe gone purple

thats not good is it? Quite deep cut this morning, blood everywhere. Skin round cut has gone as white as a sheet of paper and round that is dark purple, nearly black. Is it likely to be a bad bruise or is the toe about to srop off?

I think you're right. Now just wondering if it'll be OK till tomorrow morning. Have put a dressing rather than a plaster on her toe now as I don't think the plaster was helping. Don't really fancy a&e on a Sat night.

It looks a lot better today so haven't taken her to a&e. The white skin is now a normal colour and there is still some purple skin round the cut but it looks more like a bad bruise now. She stubbed her toe on the driveway and cut the toe and ripped half the nail off so I suppose a bruise is to be expected. I keep slapping some savlon on it.

ouch! sounds horrid. here's hoping for a full recovery and no digits falling off
