Blood in the snot sucker!

My ds has been a bit bunged up of late, which can cause probes with feeding etc, so for the past few mornings we have been using the snot sucker and saline drops to help clear him out. This morning however, some of the mucus was streaked with red. Should I be worried? I know that I can have this when (tmi) blowing my nose. Could it be we have irritated his nasal passages a bit with the sucking? He is well in all other respects and is 16 weeks.

I would guess a capillary vessel has burst just like you said. I woulnt worry if it's just streaks, stop sucking snot and it'll be fine. Grin

(Obviously if it bleeds a lot then see gp but I doubt that's necessary.)
