this is looking like an increasingly likely possibility for my dd2 who is 7. There is a possibility of hirschprungs, but even if this isnt diagnosed then the stoma is still looking like the only option left. In many ways this would be a huge relief for us all and in many other ways i am very scared about what the future would hold for her. The reports i have read on this seem to be mainly about babies and i'm curious about older kids experiences of it. any info would really help us. cheers Smile

Hi there

Sorry to hear your DD is having problems. My DD was born with imperforate anus and currently has a colostomy.

There is a thread in General Health for parents of babies with stomas but there are some parents of older children who have had/have a stoma and several parents whose Lo's have Hirschsprungs - please pop over and post on there - the support I have had from there has been wonderful.
