gunky eye at night

Hi ladies,
My little one has suffered with gunky eyes for the last month, on and off. I don't think it's conjunctivitis because she has no pink or red colour, but she wakes up with her eyes stuck together and gets really distressed. Has anyone had a similar situation and any advice?

Blepharitis - eyelid inflammation? My dd has been diagnosed with this last month. GPs treated it as bacterial conjunctivitis at first but she was not getting better so had to take her to the eye hospital where it was diagnosed.

Thank you, that sounds spot on. Are you finding your LO is waking in the night with it? It's so distressing!

Since I've started her with warm compress and lid cleaning her eyes are alot better in the mornings. But at the moment she is having some other problems due her her blepharitis. Been to the eye hospital back and forth so many times. I know how distressing it is - I'm just praying that my dd will be cleared from blepharitis soon.
