What does a low body temperature mean?? DD is 35.7

My DD (3) has just woken to say she is cold and has a sore throat and stomach pains. I took her temperature with a thermoscan and it read 35.7. Her normal temp is 36.5 and has never been below that. She feels cold. I have given her some paracetamol. I can hear her coughing now. She doesn't appear to have any other worrying symptons. Any advice greatly received. Thanks.

What sort of thermometer are you using. I have an ear which always reads lower than the actual temp.

Call Nhs direct though if you are worried. Low body temp can mean hypothermia.

Thanks. It kept dropping last night so I called NHS Direct. They were not alarmed and said I shouldn't worry. She was full of beans this morning so all good in the end.
