Budding boobs, when to do the bra / crop top thing?

DD is 10 and has started to grow breasts. Couple of questions:

Should I go and get a few short vest tops soon? When I mentioned it to her she was totally unimpressed, did not want to think about it. In Sept she'll be at secondary and surely will have to then. School shirts are a bit transparent or when she's changing for games - she'll be a bit old for a normal vest wont' she?

Other questions are when do you move onto a bra? Presumably when they're a reasonable size, otherwise you're buying a new bra size every few months. And lastly, how long is it from starting developing to getting periods? I don't know when to get stuff in and DD not going to want to discuss THAT after the reaction I got to the crop top question?

Thanks

No idea of the length of time twixt breast buds and periods I am afraid.
My DD has tiny, really tiny little breasts growing. She was always happy to wear a vest but is adamant she won't wear a crop top despite not wanting the boys in her class looking down the top of her dress/top.
The only thing she is remotely interested in is having an orange bra Hmm with proper hooks at the back. Dream on mini kreech.

My DD started with crop tops at Primary School and now she's in Yr7 she has bras with hooks at the back. Since starting Secondary School in September she has had a spare 'pencil case' with a pair of pants and a pant liner in, in case she starts her periods at school. I was told they are normally about 6 stone when they start, but she is 6.5 stone now, with curves and hairs everywhere, but no sign of periods yet.

Thanks ha ha to the orange bra dream and did not know the weight fact re periods - we've got a while yet then I reckon.

Think I'll just shove some crop tops / sports bras (as they seem to call them)on her bed and run! Basically DD thinks all this talk of growing-up's unnecessary and pointlessHmm and I'm just trying to be a good Mum
