Read on here that this helps.

So, just to check........
I put a handful of oats in a muslin or something and tie it up.
Then I put it in the bath.
Do I have it in the bath just as it runs or whilst ds is in there?
TIA

I think its while it runs.

bullet234 · 29/04/2011 18:04

I'm pretty sure you have it put it in whilst it's running as well.

tinierclanger · 29/04/2011 18:05

Do it while it's running and squeeze a few times, till the water looks milky.

I used to cut up a pair of old tights, put in a couple or three tablespoons of oats and tie it up like a sweetie and then give one each to the kids to play with in the bath. Lovely and slimey and squishy. They loved it.

MissBetsyTrotwood · 29/04/2011 20:35

I leave the oats in a cut off bit of old tights under the tap and then gently wash affected areas with it. It does come out slimy and they love it. The oat mixture goes all milky and smooth on the skin.

Always had a problem knowing what to do with the used stuff afterwards. Mostly left it on the radiator, so it was dry and crusty then picked it out and flushed it down the loo then re-used the tights bits a few times more.

Lovely, thank you.

Betsy, thatnks for the tip, was thinking the same

never found it worked with my dcs - but some swear by it.

MissBetsyTrotwood · 29/04/2011 20:40

It does make a lovely bath, doesn't it? Just as good as most expensive milky preparations imo!

whomovedmychocolate · 29/04/2011 20:46

Daft question I know but DS just adores porridge in any form - will he attempt to drink the water if I do this? Confused

MissBetsyTrotwood · 29/04/2011 20:52

Ha ha! Well, I'm sure he'd be alright even if he did. Mine have been known to have a quick sly guzzle even after I'm sure one (or both) has weed in it Blush . Not ideal, obviously, but they seemed ok afterwards...
