When does baby's height get measured?

I see a lot of people here mentioning what centile their baby is for height but aside from when he was born, ds has never been measured at all...are you supposed to do it yourself or do they do it when they weigh them?

I think they get measured at their 1-year check, but our authority is running late so the HV said they are being done at about 15-16 months.

We've only ever measured DD (13mo) ourselves, and won't be measured by the HV as we're not bothering with their developmental checks.

DS's height was only measured at birth. I asked at the 6 week check, but was told they don't do it then. I used to take him to be weighed regularly but they never did his height. They don't do 12 month checks in our area any more (HV shortage apparently), think the next one will now be when he's about 2 1/2.

Think it's a bit strange tbh - how can they really tell if a child is over/underweight without considering their height as well? Does anyone know at what age they start looking at BMI rather than weight alone?

DD's height was never measured even at birth.

DS has only even had his height measured when we are at peadiatric appointments (our hospital check weight and height for everyone on arrival) if it wasnt for that it would only have been done when I do it at home.

I think my dd first had her height officially measured at the 2 1/2 yr check. I measured myself many times before that.
