Antibiotics for Toddlers

I think ToddlerScout has a sinus infection (he's been free-flowing technicolor for most of the week, as well as a low-grade fever and general not-himself-ness and tonight his snot stinks) and will be calling the GP in the morning. Is giving TS antibiotics so young (17 months) setting him up for a lifetime of stronger and stronger meds and more resistant bugs? I'm not anti-antibiotics by any stretch of the imagination and am really just wondering for my own piece of mind.

I hope not. DS had his first (very strong IV antibiotics!) at 8 weeks and has had a constant stream of them since - he is 17 months to.

GPs now only prescribe them if they are needed so I wouldn't worry about them to much.
