Suncream for eczema

15 m.o. DS has eczema on his face & hands, usually red & bumpy. We use Diprobase ointment on it, and antibiotics/steroids when the GP thinks necessary.

What suncream can I use which is least likely to irritate it? So far, Diprobase cream, Dermol and emulsifying ointment have all been slightly irritating for his skin.

The Eczema Society has a very good list PDF here on their websites of suncreams that are free from the most common irritants, as with all things eczema-related you may have to try a few before finding one that suits his skin. We use Banana Boat for DS1 with no problems.

Proderm sun mousse. Its sold in Boots, it's been specially formulated for children with eczema.

Yes, definitely Proderm sun mousse; slightly cheaper in Amazon.
