Mouth ulcer in 8yo

My son has a mouth ulcer on the base of the gum. He has never had one before and I googled. There seem to be many causes, some of them due to underlying vit deficiency or medical conditions. Has anyone's dc had an ulcer that was just transient and not due to anything else really.

I get them a lot, usually when I've bumped my gum with the toothbrush. I wouldn't worry to be honest.

Thanks Belle. Didn't think of his brushing technique. Will monitor.

It's OK to have the odd ulcer. Smile

My 2 year old DD had one last month, it lasted about a week and then went, she hasn't had any more since. I don't think it's anything to worry about, I get them quite a lot too.
