i was wondering if anyone had experienced continued problems with stopping using colief? my DS started on it at 6 weeks old and is now 16 weeks old. he had lots of wind, cried constantly and was generally very agitated, the colief definately helped. i have tried to stop using colief, slowly as directed, 3 times now and he just goes back to crying and being agitated, wanting to be held all the time and generally just unhappy. the doctors dont think there is anything wrong with him, especially as he has been steadily gaining weight since birth. i finally got them to do a lactose intolerance test last week but havent heard anything so presume it was negative. really dont know what to do and wondered if anyone had any advice? the doctors wont prescribe the colief incidentally as its too expensive :( im beginnning to think i make it up and am a neurotic/fussy mother, maybe lots of babies are just like this?!
